Igudesman & Joo celebrate 20 years of musical chaos with their final programme:
CODA - THE FINAL NIGHTMARE MUSIC
20 Years of (musical madness with) Igudesman & Joo
Captivating audiences of all ages with their distinctive blend of musical prowess, humor, groundbreaking arrangements, and delightful chaos, Igudesman & Joo proudly present a spectacle that shines a spotlight on their extensive musical journey over the years.
CODA also means the end of this musical journey: Following a year and a half of extravagant jubilations that would put even Gatsby to shame, this dynamic duo shall grace the stage for the last time at the close of 2025.
Now, the burning questions arise: What musical showdown will we witness? Will Mozart and Bond finally settle their epic duel? Will the enigmatic identity of Beethoven's Elisa be unveiled at last? And just how colossal were Rachmaninoff's hands, anyway?
Prepare for an evening of uproarious surprises that will leave the audience doubled over with laughter, catering to die-hard fans and newcomers alike. Plus, brace yourselves for some fresh additions, like rousing Puccini from his deepest slumber and ensuring he never dozes off again-an audacious feat to complement the riotous performance.
Naturally, everyone anticipates their very own rendition of "I Will Survive." Brace yourself as this beloved classic might just undergo one last transformation, taking us on a whimsical journey to the Far East.
In summary, by melding their beloved classics, cherished by millions on UA-cam, with daring new additions, Igudesman & Joo aim to make this show either their absolute best or their most hilariously disastrous. The verdict, dear audience, lies in your hands with an interactive poll during the show. Regardless, one thing's for sure: the fun is practically guaranteed!
MORE INFORMATION
For 20 years, Igudesman & Joo have been enthralling audiences with their unique blend of musical skill, humor, innovative arrangements, and delightful chaos. Their latest show, ‘Coda - The Final Nightmare Music,’ premiering in September, will showcase the highlights of their remarkable musical journey. This performance also marks the conclusion of their illustrious career, as the dynamic duo will take the stage together for the last time at the end of 2025.
But don't worry, the iconic humorous music duo will be with us until the end of 2025. In their final program, Mozart, Beethoven, and other famous composers will once again be put through their mad squeeze mill. Aleksey Igudesman is a renowned violinist, conductor, composer, and film director. He is known for his long-standing collaboration with Hollywood star Hans Zimmer. Igudesman is also the co-founder of the Viennese start-up ‘Music Traveler,’ a sharing economy platform that centralizes venues and music spaces for creative professionals. “Hyung-ki and I love each other; we are and will remain best friends. But enough is enough! Jokes aside, we feel that we have experienced a lot as a duo. And how many times do you want to torture Mozart?” says Igudesman.
Hyung-ki Joo is an exceptional pianist, conductor, composer, and more. He collaborated with Billy Joel on his piano album, personally recording it for him. Joo says, “It's very symbolic that we're also performing at the Musikverein on our farewell tour - that's where we began our career together with our very first show, ‘A Little Nightmare Music.’ I'm particularly pleased that we can now conclude our virtuoso mischief in the historic Golden Hall.” Igudesman & Joo's new single, “Everyone Is Here,” recorded live with the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, will be released on June 7. The song was composed by Aleksey Igudesman in collaboration with legendary singer-songwriter Eric Carmen.
Hyung-ki Joo will continue to perform worldwide as a piano soloist, showcasing his own compositions. He will also continue to conduct symphony and youth orchestras. In August, he will serve on the jury of the Cleveland International Piano Competition, one of the world's most prestigious piano competitions.
Aleksey Igudesman will continue his film projects in the future, taking on roles as a composer, producer, actor, and occasionally as a director. He will also maintain his collaboration with John Malkovich. Their next show together, Igudesman’s brilliant work "The Music Critic at the Symphony," will have its USA premiere with the Oregon Symphony on June 12 at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall in Portland, Oregon. Igudesman will conduct, while Malkovich will play the role of the evil music critic. Additionally, Igudesman is working on a major upcoming project, which he promises "will revolutionize the world of music," to be revealed soon.

I wanted to heard that "Bach was religious. You know, he had 20 children" What a wonderful non-sequitur.
Haha. She is so beautiful.
4:01 the exact moment when I realized as a classical piano student, I don’t understand enough about B, or flat
I've listened you back in 2016 and was impressed what you can make out of classical music. Enjoyed even today, wish you ever come in Nish in Serbia. This is really good way to get someone close to a classical music!
Sell blue ray or dvd! I want to watch yall forever
can she do other stuff 💀
The only one missing is Victor Borge
marvelous
4:48 вот уж кому этот си-бемоль мозги не вынесет совершенно!
0:17 Now i can say: i playing piano and violin lile Igudesman & Joo :)
PLEASE play Los Angeles!
just brilliant!
Oh no. Does this mean you are retired? I took violin piano and voice lessons and can not do any of those three things. I am so jealous of you. I took a deep dive into the Billy Joel catalogue this year and it took me the longest time after watching him come up for baby grand to connect that he had chosen one of you to perform his piano compositions. Even more reason to be envious
pls come to singapore!!!! pls!!!
❤
I'm looking forward for the " coda" of the " Coda of the Nightmare music", at the 25-th anniversary ( the quarter of the century for this show , in any of its forms)...
Highly intellectual Nonsens. I love IT!!!
Add more U.S. shows please!
always the best!
Absolutely love it! It takes a lot of talent to pull off the comedic timing and musicality of these two. Bravo! 👏🏼
The Remix!
love you guys 😂❤
love you guys ❤
Hahaha! This is fun, guys. Way to go, Yuja!
Come to Cyprus
😂 Ils sont géniaux !
You're doing a great job promoting these kind of musicians that step out of the box...they're funny and interesting, and quite unique...
Igudesman and Joo, the STARSky and Hutch of freeky good music ! Love you guys ❤❤❤❤
This looks AMAZING! I've always been a huge fan of you two, you always make me laugh and smile so much! Thank you for always bringing laughter and light into our lives! ❤
He has a song on Album “Street Life Serenader “ Called the Entertainer and if you ever saw him live you know that he is exactly that
Rachmaninoff Carmen.... No sé mucho de música, Pero según mi experiencia aumenta en conjunto con mis años, recién entiendo muchas referencias de este par de genios musicales. Cada vez que los veo descubro cosas que en su tiempo había pasado por alto y siento como si los viera por primera vez.
How ironic-she played with Makala and they became lovers. A recent bitter breakup. Life is strange...
That was awesome! Thank you for lifting my spirit.
천재들~~!!!!!
한국에도 오시죠? 기대됩니다~^^
It's not air Violin, it's Broll.😊
During a Google search for Billy Joel earlier, I found a question regarding which brand of piano he plays, and the answer was that he plays Steinways exclusively. Yet, I've been watching a decent number of clips here from his live concerts throughout his carrer in every venue in the world, and noticed him playing a Baldwin, a Yamaha, and others. So, I was more than skeptical regarding the answer to said question. Until now, when he demanded one. I guess earlier in his career, and in some venues and/or countries, he had to play whatever they had on hand. Or possibly he hadn't made a specific choice at that point in his career yet. But even in 2019 when Billy has already been a legend for over 50 years, only at Carnegie Hall where the stagehands get six-figure salaries, would he be able to have a Steinway Grand rolled out onto the stage in the middle of a concert, pre-planned or not. By the way, his "pianist envy" quip was fire!
1:48 wtf jajaja
Frumos
If you don't believe that Yuja Wang is a 'gamer' after seeing this, you have a serious difficulty with objective reality!
Thank you❤ I hope I can watch you guys live one day🫶🏻
Bravo!🎉
Would of been great if Ray Charles was there as well.❤
